Once again the United Church in Bridport was transformed by over 60 Christmas Trees each decorated by a local community group or charity and filling every available inch with lights, images and messages galore. Over 7,000 folk come through the doors during the 12 days of the festival and over £2,000 raised by the charities with an immense range of charitable focus, from national to local and included a very moving one for a group offering support to families of those who have committed suicide.
Additionally, during the period a number of events and services are held, including bell-ringers from the local Special School, small choirs, a Churches Together Taize service and two big choral events – one again under the auspices of Churches Together and the final event is the United Church’s own Carol Service.
