Wessex Trust

Terms of Reference:

To oversee and administer the property, financial and staff resources of the Wessex Synod, seeking to optimise them for the longer term benefit of the Synod and to satisfy the Wessex Synod Strategy, whilst working within the constraints of the Charity Commission and government legislation.  In particular:

  1. to manage long term investments
  2. to meet financial commitments
  3. to manage the Synod manse portfolio
  4. to act as employer for Synod staff
  5. to receive reports and make decisions related to listed buildings
  6. to agree appropriate policies, procedures and resources to meet current requirements
  7. to assess projects and make loans and grants in support of local church mission projects for both buildings and people within agreed budgets
  8. to ensure churches are responsibly maintaining their buildings
  9. to oversee the Synod M&M formula and contributions.
